Field guide No. 836
Black snow, orange fire
Winter has brought a match
Snowflakes fall around a small fire on a dark, frozen shore. The weather has arranged a very local disagreement.
Field noteSnow can fall around a fire without contradicting itself. It is a poor place to camp.
Also possible, also breaking nothing
Clothesline of empty silhouettesA sheet hangs with garment-shaped gaps cut through it. Laundry has returned without the clothes.
The mushroom takes center stageA single mushroom stands before rows of red theatre seats. The cast list is short.
Surreal twisted seats in an empty cinemaSwivel seats exist. These rotated on their bolts and stopped facing the screen.
A well-kept secretA jeweller could hinge a walnut by teatime. The vice is just there to make a point.
